You will need!

  • Astringent
  • Eyebrow brush
  • Tweezers
  • Pencil
  • Lotion

1. Prep before you start

Apply astringent and brush well before you do your brows. This makes sure they are in the best state before you start plucking and shaping.

2. Mark your starting points

Hold your eyebrow tweezer upside down pointing the open end downwards. Place it vertically next to the outer edge of the bottom of your nose. The point where the upper end of the tweezer touches the brow is the beginning of your brow. The beginning should usually be about 1 inch above the inner corner of the eye.

Use an eyebrow pencil to mark the beginning of both the brows. Make sure the space between the brows is such that the bridge of your nose is centered between them. Remove any random hairs in between the beginnings of the brows by slowly plucking them by grabbing at the roots.

3. Mark the ends

Hold the tweezer against the cheek so that the open end of the tweezer is at the bottom of your nose. The other end should reach to the outer corner of the eye. The part where the tweezer goes through your brow should be marked as the end point. Mark the end with your eyebrow pencil, and pluck the hairs beyond that line.

4. Decide how thick you want your brows

Get your eyebrow pencil and draw a line across the bottom edge of your brow, starting from the fullest part. Mark it above any random hairs and make sure that the line follows the natural shape of the angle or curve of your brow’s top line. Pluck the random hairs below the line.

5. Shape the curve of your eyebrow

Go to your mirror and look at your brow. The arch should peak above the outer rim of the iris and it should lie on the brow bone. Mark that point with your eyebrow pencil. Remove a row of hairs along the bottom, for the beginning to the peak point.

You can now shape the tail part so that it’s thinner than the main part of your brow. Make sure the thickness reduces towards the end of the brow.

6. After you’ve done shaping

After the shaping is done, apply a lotion to soothe the skin and avoid bumps.
